What we collect, and why

Inquiry forms (get a quote, verify a supplier, contact): we collect what you submit — name, email, and optionally company, country, phone, product details, budget, and the page you came from (including UTM campaign tags). We use it solely to respond to and handle your inquiry. Submitting a form triggers a confirmation email to you and a notification to our team.

Email captures (checklist download, tool-results email, newsletter): we store your email, optional first name, which feature you used, and — for tool results — a snapshot of the results you asked us to send. The newsletter uses double opt-in: we send nothing beyond the confirmation request until you click the confirmation link, and every email includes a working unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Where it lives

Form and subscription data is stored in our own PostgreSQL database on servers we operate on Hetzner infrastructure in the EU. Transactional email (confirmations, notifications, requested downloads) is delivered via Resend, which processes your email address for that purpose.

Analytics and monitoring

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides and tools are useful. It is loaded with Google Consent Mode and analytics cookies stay disabled until you accept the consent banner; declining keeps them off. We also run a self-hosted performance beacon (page load-time telemetry to our own monitoring panel) and Sentry error monitoring, which records technical error details when something on the site breaks. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses to provide CDN and security services.

Retention and your rights

Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any ongoing business relationship. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe, after which the record is marked unsubscribed and excluded from any sending. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time via the contact page — we action requests within 30 days.
