We work with licensed customs brokers in the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. The broker is hired by you directly (so they're accountable to you, not us) but we coordinate paperwork and origin documentation to make their job clean.
Sea is the default for nearly everything. Air for samples, urgent replenishment, and high-value low-weight goods. We model both options against your specific cargo dimensions and lead-time constraints — see our sea vs air freight guide for the framework.
We default to FOB plus arranged freight via your forwarder (or ours). DDP is available but we typically advise against it — the unit-price markup hides the duty and grey-channel customs entries can expose you to penalties.
Always ICC (A) for any cargo over $10,000 — covers all risks including water damage, theft, and general average. Typical premium 0.3–0.5% of CIF value. Don't rely on the seller's CIF minimum-coverage insurance (ICC C, which covers almost nothing).
Lithium batteries, certain liquids, and other restricted categories yes — with appropriate hazmat handling and UN 38.3 documentation where needed. We don't handle dual-use or sanctioned goods.
