Anta, Xtep, Peak and 361° all come out of the same district of the same city. Jinjiang, in Quanzhou on Fujian's southeastern coast, built China's biggest domestic athletic brands, and the same factory base produces athletic apparel and footwear for global names including Nike, Adidas and Puma. This is the country's sportswear capital, and the capability behind it is genuinely technical.
Performance knits, moisture-wicking and anti-bacterial finishes, athletic footwear construction and the trims and components that go with them are all locally available. The cluster grew out of Fujian's shoe-making tradition and the coastal export economy, but it developed differently from general garment regions: because the domestic brands compete on function, the supporting mills and component suppliers had to master performance fabrics and sports construction rather than just cut-and-sew. Children's apparel and outdoor wear are meaningful secondary strengths.
